Normally, practices are 2 hours long and take place at night so that no members will have direct conflicts with academics. The first 30 minutes of practice, we warm up collectively. After that, we switch to an open gym format. Everyone can work on whichever skills they want to learn/improve and coaches rotate around the gym to give advice and spot. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed, and if you need advice, anyone with the appropriate gymnastics experience will be more than happy to advise you .
For your scheduling, plan on leaving campus half an hour before practice starts and returning half an hour after . While we’re happy if people like gymnastics so much that they prioritize practice over everything else, you have no obligation to attend practices. You just won’t get any refund on your membership fee for missed practices.
