“Mr. Tom” is the owner at New Era Gymnastics. We are very glad that he lets us work out at his facility and we are even more thankful that he volunteered to stay in the gym for an extra two hours late at night twice a week to coach us. At New Era, he is the Head Girls Team Coach, office manager, maintenance director, and an email comedian. He is a graduate of the Bronx High School of Science and has a B.S. in Exercise Science from the University of Massachusetts. He was a gymnast for 10 years and has been coaching for 32 years. He has coached dozens of Regional and State Champions. Mr. Tom is also on the CT State Board of gymnastics and received the State Service Award in 2013. (source: the New Era Gymnastics webpage)
